Why I write…
As a teen, I struggled to find fantasy stories that enthralled me—ones full of exciting twists and action, but with deeper messages than the simple, cliche lessons I’d read a hundred times before. So I buried myself in classic literature.
The thoughtful messages of books like Dracula or Frankenstein were what I was looking for… but I knew they were an acquired taste. (Modern attention spans, am I right?)
Now, I write the stories I struggled to find. Stories full of the thoughtfulness of older novels, but with all the fast-paced action of modern books.
